A few of you have asked why I think Clones will get airdropped $gang and why I was willing to make a bet that they do. I have read the numerous posts saying “But GCG confirmed they only earn $gang in P2E” cool, yes that was confirmed but things change, also if you knew all the details this space would be boring AF.

So, let’s explore a couple of key benefits to clones and also why I think they will get $gang. Here is the exact statement about the benefits of clones from the gutter blog:

“Gutter Clones will have access to selective merch drops, metaverse experiences, IRL events, and other exciting activations, but may not have the same access to future NFT airdrops or utility tokens as the OG GCG species”.

Two things, you see how much value clones actually get, holy shit. But I have bolded a key word “may” when referencing if clones get $gang or not. It says “may not” get access to airdrops, the most ambiguous wording I have seen and as someone who is paid to write ambiguous wording to sell products through commercials to people, I am willing to bet a few clones that clones will get airdropped $gang. There’s a very good reason it says “may”.

Wait, I am bullish on this because I read something that was ambiguous? No, I am bullish because at every turn, GCG has delivered more than we have expected. From Dan on a bull machine at guttercon drenched in champagne, constant alpha from @throb81, to a Hoop bus and Gutter Ric dunking in NYC, the team always under promises and over delivers.

What other reasons do I have to think clones will get $gang?

I like to think about this more strategically vs my own bags or emotions. We welcomed in around 17k new members when clones launched, it made our ecosystem bigger an grew our share of wallet and share of voice. Why not reward those that have always wanted to be in the gang but couldn’t necessarily afford to be an OG, I am not saying they get the amount species do, I think they receive 1/25 of what a species does. It rewards new members for being part of the gang, it will help the $gang token ecosystem to thrive by having more holders and potentially more buyers because like anything, once you get a taste you always want more. I also feel that if we provide a little starter fund for clones, it will increase the chances of clone holders wanting to earn more through P2E in order to level up to an OG or to use the coin in our marketplace or with one of our partners.

And there are my reasons for thinking clones will get airdropped gang, if anyone has a real argument as to why they shouldn’t receive $gang beyond the thought that make you’ll receive a couple coins less, I would love to hear it. Remember “May not” doesn’t mean “Will not”.
